Director Matt Reeves has finally confirmed Colin Farrell will portray Oswald Cobblepot, aka The Penguin, in The Batman.

Reeves shared a GIF of Farrell on Twitter with the caption, “Wait — is that you, #Oz ?” with the #Oz hashtag referring to the shorthand of Penguin’s first name. The GIF shows Farrell shrugging his shoulders.

Production on The Batman began a few weeks ago, and set photos have already started making their way online. Photos of a figure that resembles Farrell were shared on social media earlier today, and feature a person in a black coat, with an umbrella in hand and blonde hair, possibly giving us Farrell in costume as Oswald Cobblepot.
