First Official Images of Scooby-Doo’s Big Screen Return Revealed

Scooby-Doo and his friends are back in a brand new 3D animated adventure, and today Warner Bros. has unveiled its first look at the new movie. Titled Scoob!, plot details are being kept under wraps, but it doesn’t take a mystery-solving gang of teens to deduce the new film will follow the gang as they attempt to solve a mystery.

Shared by Fandango, The first look photos give audiences a good taste of what to expect from the film, with most of the characters retaining their original looks. The notable exception of course is Fred, who looks to have his signature orange ascot tie replaced with a more modern jacket and t-shirt with orange trim. Other interesting things about this first look is the famous Mystery Machine, which looks more hi-tech than we’ve seen it before. Hopefully it’s still stocked with Scooby Snacks.

Although Scooby-Doo regular Frank Welker will be reprising his role as the titular canine, the rest of the gang will be comprised of new voices. Filling out the main cast includes Zac Efron as Fred, Amanda Seyfried as Daphne, Gina Rodriguez as Velma and Will Forte as Scooby-Doo’s best pal Shaggy.

Though the focus of the movie is the Mystery Incorporated gang, the idea is for the movie to kick start its own cinematic universe featuring classic Hanna-Barbera characters. Expect appearances by Jason Isaacs as Dick Dastardly, Ken Jeong as Dynomutt, Tracy Morgan as Captain Caveman and Mark Wahlberg as the Blue Falcon.
