Friends Reunion in Development for HBO Max

25 years after the original series premiered, Friends may return for a reunion special.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, all six original stars — Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer — are in talks for the unscripted reunion special, which would air on Warner Bros.’ upcoming streaming service HBO Max. The “unscripted” descriptor suggests the special will be a series of interviews or a round table, with the cast discussing their experiences on the sitcom.

Warner Bros. Television’s Friends premiered September 2, 1994. The sitcom became a critically acclaimed favorite and ran for ten seasons, concluding its run in 2004.
