The Marvel Cinematic Universe is set to change forever soon with Disney+ and the planned television shows, some of which will introduce new superheroes to the franchise. One such series, She-Hulk, will not only adapt Jennifer Walters to live-action, it might also bring back at least one forgotten character.
The upcoming series is still very much in the early stages of development, so nothing is set in stone, but freelance journalist Daniel Richtman reports, “While it’s early I also heard they plan to have General Ross in [She-Hulk] and maybe even bring back Liv Tyler as Betty Ross!” Tyler last appeared in the MCU back in 2008 in The Incredible Hulk, which starred Edward Norton as Bruce Banner. After the Hulk fled from New York, Betty was never mentioned in the MCU again.
Her father, General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross has appeared beyond The Incredible Hulk, albeit as a slightly different character. He appeared in Captain America: Civil War with William Hurt reprising the role, then again for a brief appearance in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. He has been far removed from the Hulk’s story, though it seems as if She-Hulk might be setting up to bring them all back together.
